How much Sylvacurl do I need? Here's how to figure it out...
Volume Formulas
- Square of rectangular container: width x length x height = Volume
- Circular and Oval containers: 1/2 diameter (radius) x 3.14 x height = Volume
Converting to Cubic feet: Use The Magic Number - 1,728
This is the number of cubic inches in 1 cubic foot (12" x 12" x 12").
Small Cartons hold 4 cubic feet and Large Cartons hold 10 cubic feet.
Take a look at shipping sizes for more details:
Example 1: How much Sylvacurl is needed to fill 2,000 boxes that each measure 4" x 8" x 20"?
- 4 x 8 x 20 = 640 cubic inches x 2,000 boxes = 1,280,000 cu/in
- 1,280,000 divided by 1728 = 740.74 cu/ft of Sylvacurl.
- So you would need 75 large cartons!
Example 2: How much Sylvacurl is needed to fill 5,000 baskets that measure 8" round by 6" high?
- 4" x 3.14 x 6" = 75.36 cu/in x 5,000 baskets = 376,800 cu/in
- 376,000 divided by 1728 = 216.06 cu/ft of Sylvacurl.
- So you would need 22 bags or 16 large cartons!
These formulas should help you to determine exactly how much Sylvacurl you need.
